Slack - Communication Channel

All of the communication for this class will be primarily conducted on our Slack Channel. Here are some FAQ's

• What is Slack?

  Slack is a communication platform used by a huge number of software organizations as well as teams and departments here at BYU. It is not officially monitored or controlled by BYU, however we expect the same standards of conversation on here.
  Fun Fact: The name is an acronym for "Searchable Log of All Conversation and Knowledge".

• How do I sign up?

  You Should have received an invite to your BYU registered email a few days prior to class start. If for some reason you haven't received it, you can request a new one by dropping me a message on learning suite.

• What are the policies and rules?

  1. This communication channel will be our prime method of getting in touch with the professors or TA’s (Replacing Learning Suite)
  2. You may ask any class related questions on our general channel.
  3. You may not share any material related to the tests or discuss exams via Slack
  4. Any user found in defiance of BYU’s Honor code as well as above policies will be reported.
  5. Please do not direct message the Instructors/TAs if you feel your question would help others as well. Post in the general channel.
